JWC Academy’s beginner-friendly mixology course is for adults aged 18 and above. Learn onsite in Bukit Jalil across 8 weekend lessons over 2 months—from Build, Stir, Shake and Layer to cocktail structure, tasting and purposeful adjustment.

The RM300 booking fee is credited toward your RM3,299 course fee and holds your seat and current price for 14 days.

Can complete beginners join?+

Yes. The course starts with alcohol, base spirits and bar tools before progressing to methods, advanced liquid techniques and flavour judgement. Learners must be 18 or above.

Do I need to buy equipment or spirits?+

No. Equipment, spirits and course materials used in class are provided by JWC Academy.

When and where are the next classes?+

The KL English Class is held at The First Floor by JWC in Bukit Jalil and starts Sunday, 1 November 2026 at 10:00am.

What certificate will I receive?+

After course completion and instructor confirmation, you receive a JWC Weekend Mixology Course Completion Certificate. It is not an international bartending diploma, professional licence, national qualification or SKM Level 2.

Can I repeat a lesson?+

A completed lesson may be repeated in a future intake subject to available seats. If no more than two lessons are missed, you may join the corresponding lessons in a future intake.

What does the RM300 booking fee do?+

It is credited toward tuition and holds the selected intake seat and current price for 14 days. It is not refundable in cash; one free transfer is available when requested at least 7 days before class.

Is this an online or onsite mixology course?+

It is an onsite course at The First Floor by JWC in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. The 8 lessons include guided bar practice and tasting, so no online-only version is stated on this page.

What mixology skills will I learn?+

You will practise Build, Stir, Shake and Layer; compare sweetness, acidity, body, temperature and dilution; study six cocktail structures; and learn Infusion, Sous Vide, Fat Wash and Milk Wash.

Can I create and adjust my own cocktails after the course?+

The course is designed to help you read cocktail structure, taste the result and choose a variable to adjust. Lesson 8 connects six cocktail structures with sweet-sour-body balance and flavour progression.

How much is the complete 8-lesson course?+

The current early-bird price is RM3,299. The beginner and advanced stages total RM7,579 when bought separately, so the stated saving is RM4,280. Availability and price are reconfirmed before payment.

What happens if I miss a lesson?+

If you miss no more than two lessons, you may join the corresponding lessons in a future intake. Seats are subject to availability.

Is the completion certificate a professional licence or SKM qualification?+

No. It is a JWC Weekend Mixology Course Completion Certificate issued after course completion and instructor confirmation. It is not an international bartending diploma, professional licence, national qualification or SKM Level 2.
